The Kids to Love Foundation has grown to become a lot of things since it began in 2004 in founder and CEO Lee Marshall’s garage. Since then, Kids to Love has served hundreds of thousands of children living in foster care, putting clothes on their backs, getting Christmas presents under the tree and giving them scholarships for the next steps of their education.
Kids to Love also operates Davidson Farms, a foster home for girls, the Whitaker Cottage Community for girls aging out of foster care, and our own licensed Child Placing Agency. It is also home to KTECH, a private school that offers job training in manufacturing, robotics, and more to young adults and people looking to make a career change.
Through our wide variety of programs, Kids to Love is able to reach out and wrap loving arms around children through every step of their time in foster care.
The Kids to Love Campus in Madison is the center of our outreach. It is home to the Kids to Love Center and the Smith Family Wellness Center, in memory of Mark C. Smith.
The Kids to Love Center contains our Curtis Cares Center for Christmas, Emergency Assistance and school supplies, as well as our Alabama-licensed Child Placing Agency. It also is the home of KTECH’s classrooms, computer labs and training spaces. The building was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Louis Breland in February, given in February 2015.
Our new building containing the Smith Family Wellness Center opened in August 2025 and is home to the Grant Hill Trauma Team, our group of licensed trauma therapists. The Wellness Center contains a variety of therapy rooms for different types of trauma treatment.
The new facility also houses the Isenberg Center for Education and Innovation, where Kids to Love can host training events and have expanded classroom space for KTECH. The Isenberg Center is also available for rental for public events.
Lastly, the new building contains expanded space for the Curtis Cares Center, allowing Kids to Love to serve more children with items they need.
