Bikes or Bust 2025 is coming Nov. 20-24!

11/17/2025

When Mojo Jones climbs into his sky high lift for Bikes or Bust this November 20 to 24, he is not just making a bold annual stunt. He is helping build a Christmas that feels hopeful for children and teens in foster care. Every new bike donated during the event goes straight to Kids to Love, and for the kids who receive them, these gifts carry far more meaning than the metal and wheels suggest.

For younger children, a bike brings pure joy. It is freedom, adventure, and the thrill of having something brand new that is just for them. But for many older children and teens in foster care, a bicycle is something even more important. It is transportation. It can be the way they get to school, to a part time job, to practice, or simply to a place where they feel safe and supported. For teens working hard to build independence, a bike is not a toy at all. It is opportunity.

That is why Mojo willingly stays dozens of feet in the air for days at a time. High above the parking lot on Memorial Parkway, he watches as bikes roll in one by one. Each one is a message to a child or teen that someone out there believes in them. Someone cares enough to give something new, something meaningful, something empowering.

And every year, Mojo also gets a front row seat to Huntsville’s most consistent November tradition: completely inconsistent weather. Some years it is warm. Some years it is cold. Some years the sun and rain seem to take turns just to keep him guessing. Mojo never knows what he is going to get, which is fitting because neither do so many of the kids he is up there for. Their lives can feel just as unpredictable, and kindness like this helps steady the ground beneath them.

For Kids to Love, these bikes change lives. They bring confidence, freedom, and dignity. They create moments of joy and tools for independence. And as Mojo watches from above, bundled up or drying out depending on whatever the week decides to bring, every donated bike below is a reminder that generosity still rises above the chaos.

For the children who receive these bikes, the road ahead gets a little smoother and a lot more hopeful.

Bikes or Bust runs November 20 through November 24 at the Ashley HomeStore parking lot at 3020 Memorial Parkway SW in Huntsville. People can bring bicycle donations at any hour during the event. The Alabama National Guard will be onsite throughout the week to help unload bikes, receive donations, and assemble bicycles for the children who will receive them.
