Foster parent training classes start soon!

Kids to Love is excited to announce our upcoming MAPPS Foundation foster parent training classes (formerly TIPS), a required step for individuals and families who are interested in becoming licensed foster parents.

The MAPPS (Model Approach to Partnerships in Parenting) program provides comprehensive training designed to prepare prospective foster parents for the responsibilities and rewards of fostering. Through these classes, participants gain a deeper understanding of the child welfare system, trauma-informed care, effective parenting strategies, and the support systems available to foster families.

Important Dates:

• Orientation: February 23
• Classes Begin: March 12
• Class Schedule: Thursdays 6-9 p.m.

Orientation attendance is required prior to the start of classes. During orientation, participants will receive an overview of the MAPPS program, expectations for the training process, and next steps toward foster parent licensure.
