Foster training classes scheduled to start in August! Get registered now!

We’re excited to announce we have two fall TIPS classes open for registration! One will be held in the Shoals area, and the other will be in Madison County.

If you’re interested in becoming a foster family, you need TIPS certification. TIPS stands for Trauma Informed Partnering for Safety, and it teaches families what to expect when opening their homes to children in foster care. You’ll learn what it’s like to be a foster parent, the challenges you’ll face, how to deal with children who have experienced trauma, and how to keep new traumas from happening.

TIPS is a 10-week course, and classes are 6-9 p.m. once a week. After you’ve completed TIPS, Kids to Love can help you get certified through our Child Placing Agency, and then you’re ready to help children in their greatest time of need.

Here are the schedules for our upcoming classes:

Madison TIPS Training
Orientation: July 31, 2023
Class Dates: 6-9 p.m. every Monday from Aug. 14, 2023, until Oct. 30, 2023 (No class Labor Day, Sept. 4)
Location: Kids to Love Center, 140 Castle Drive, Madison, AL, 35758

Shoals TIPS Training
Orientation:
 Aug. 1, 2023
Class Dates: 6-9 p.m. Every Tuesday from Aug. 15, 2023 until Oct. 17, 2023
Location: Covenant Christian School, 1900 Covenant Drive, Tuscumbia, AL 35764
