Grant Hill Memorial Golf Tournament Raises Over $156,000

Last week, Cherokee Ridge Country Club served as the backdrop for a powerful day of purpose and play during the annual Grant Hill Memorial Golf Tournament. Organized by the Hill Family Foundation, the event raised more than $156,000—surpassing its original goal of $100,000—to benefit the Kids to Love Foundation’s Grant Hill Trauma Team.
The funds will directly support trauma care services offered through the Smith Family Wellness Center, which is currently under construction in Madison, Alabama. Once completed later this summer, the center will house a team of licensed therapists dedicated to helping children and families navigate the impact of trauma.
Held in memory of Grant Hill, a beloved son, friend, and teammate whose life was tragically cut short, the tournament honors his legacy by supporting healing and hope for others. The Hill Family Foundation, established to continue Grant’s spirit of generosity and kindness, has become a driving force behind Kids to Love’s trauma care efforts.
“Grant believed in lifting others up, and this tournament is a reflection of that spirit,” said Lee Marshall, CEO and Founder of Kids to Love. “The outpouring of support from the Hill family, players, sponsors, and donors means children facing the deepest wounds of trauma will have access to the care they need to heal.”
The Kids to Love Foundation’s Grant Hill Trauma Team provides specialized therapy for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and other forms of early trauma. These services are part of Kids to Love’s broader mission to serve children living in foster care.
