Jack’s passes $1 million milestone of giving to Kids to Love Foundation

12/12/2022

Jack’s Family Restaurants passed a generous milestone Monday in its support of the Kids to Love Foundation.

Jack’s Family Fund, the corporate giving arm of Jack’s Family Restaurants, presented Kids to Love with a $50,000 gift on Dec. 12, pushing the total Jack’s has given to the organization in the last seven years over $1 million.

This most recent donation comes from a Jack’s “round up” campaign where customers were asked to round up their meal price, with the difference going to Kids to Love.

“It makes a lot of sense from our values to be involved in communities, to be more than just a business, to do good in the communities where we have restaurants,” said Jack’s CEO Todd Bartmess. “It’s part of our values, so we go out and look for a charity that aligns with our values and aligns with what we want to do.”

The check was presented at the Jack’s restaurant in Curry, Ala., which raised more than $8,000 during the campaign.

“They did a wonderful job rallying the community, getting them excited to support kids that can find a forever family here in Alabama,” Bartmess said.

ama haJack’s also recently took part again in Kids to Love’s Christmas for the Kids program. For years, Jack’s restaurants across North Alabve hosted Christmas trees with ornaments listing wish list items for children in foster care. Customers can take an ornament, buy the item listed and return it to the restaurant. Many Jack’s employees also take part in the program by filling wish list ornaments from their locations.

Jack’s support for Kids to Love comes in many forms throughout the year, including sponsoring many Kids to Love fundraisers like Denim & Diamonds and Over the Edge.

“There’s a great need to help children in foster care in Alabama, and Jack’s is committed to doing everything they can to improve the quality of life for our kids,” said Kids to Love Founder and CEO Lee Marshall. “We couldn’t ask for a better community partner.”
