Our annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon is getting close!
06/13/2025

The Kids to Love Foundation will host its 21st annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, July 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Huntsville Botanical Garden, celebrating the academic achievements of students from foster care who are pursuing higher education.
This year’s featured speaker is Elizabeth Standifer, a former scholarship recipient and current law student at Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law. Standifer, who grew up in foster care, recently completed her first year of law school and is also an entrepreneur, operating her own private process-serving business. Her story is a powerful testament to the impact of educational support and the resilience of students overcoming adversity.

Since 2005, the Kids to Love Foundation has awarded more than 1,000 scholarships to students in foster care, helping remove financial barriers and giving young people the opportunity to pursue college, trade school, or career training.
“Elizabeth is a powerful example of why we do this work,” said Kids to Love Founder and CEO Lee Marshall. “Every scholarship we award is a seed planted in a young person’s future. When we invest in their potential, we all benefit from the difference they make in the world.”
The Scholarship Awards Luncheon brings together community leaders, donors, and advocates to celebrate the accomplishments of current and former scholarship recipients. Guests will hear stories of perseverance and success from students who are rewriting their futures with help from the Foundation’s support.
