Permits approved! We’re ready to get to work!

Our blueprints have been submitted and approved for our new building, and last week our building permit was approved by the city of Huntsville! We can’t wait for the dirt to get moving.

We’ve been working on the design and had site prep going on for almost a year, and now the real work starts on the home of the Smith Family Wellness Center, home of the Grant Hill Trauma Team, the Isenberg Center for Education & Innovation, and the Curtis Cares Center!

This new 17,000-square-foot building will help us in so many ways. The Smith Family Wellness Center, in memory of Mark C. Smith, will house mental wellness services for our team of trauma therapists. The Curtis Cares Center will give us increased warehouse space for our Emergency Assistance, Christmas for the Kids and More Than a Backpack programs. And the Isenberg Center for Education & Innovation will be a unique space that will give us more space for KTECH specialized training, as well as training for foster families and more.

We are so thankful to have support from our community to make this center a reality.

We can’t wait to show you some artist renderings of the building! Stay tuned!
